Eye Examination by a boarded ACVO Ophthalmologist, recommended annually until age 7

  • Results registered with CERF

DNA Repository

  • Participation in the OFA/Chic DNA Repository

Elbow Dysplasia (Optional)

  • OFA Evaluation - OR
  • OVC Evaluation

Shoulders (Optional)

  • OFA Shoulder Consultation

Autoimmune thyroiditis (Optional)

  • OFA evaluation from an approved laboratory

Congenital Deafness (Optional)

  • OFA evaluation based on BAER test

Congenital Cardiac Database (Optional)

  • OFA Evaluation

Collie Eye Anomaly (Optional)

  • Optigen CEA test results registered with the OFA. First Generation Offspring of tested dogs eligible for Clear By Parentage

Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (Optional)

  • Optigen CL test results registered with the OFA.

Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (Optional)

  • TNS Info - email Dr. Wilton at a.wilton@unsw.edu.au for test request

*Note – In addition to the breed specific requirements above, a CHIC requirement across all participating breeds is that the dog must be permanently identified via microchip or tattoo in order to qualify for a CHIC number.
